State Boarding House
The most important rulers of West Friesland and the Northern Quarter used to stay in the State Boarding House when they met for meetings in the State College (now theWestFrisianMuseum) inHoorn. The function of the building changed during theBatavianRepublic. In 1796, the town council was established here and would remain here until the 1970s. Marriage ceremonies still regularly take place in this building.
