Nieuws uit Nieuw-Guinea: orchideeën

Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.nnOp de rots Ifar in het Cycloopgebergte in het binnenland van Nieuw-Guinea worden orchideeën geplukt, oa zogenaamde Nieuw-Guineetjes. Bomen worden gekapt om zeldzame orchideeën te bemachtigen of Papoea’s klimmen langs lianen omhoog om ze te plukken. Vervolgens worden de bloemen in Hollandia verkocht. Trees are taken down to obtain the rare orchids or Papuan people climb the lianas to the top to pick them. Then the flowers are sold in Hollandia.
