The East Church (Oosterkerk)
The late Gothic East Church (or St. Anthony’s Church) was traditionally a church for sailors and fishermen. It is a single-aisle cruciform church with a fine ridge turret crowned by a weather vane in the form of a ship. The Renaissance facade from 1616 was probably designed by the famous architect and sculptor from Amsterdam, Hendrick de Keyser.
